Meghan Markle Is in Labor, Buckingham Palace Confirms

It's happening, people: Meghan Markle is in labor. Buckingham Palace confirmed the news on Monday, May 6. “The Duchess went into labour in the early hours of this morning. The Duke of Sussex was by Her Royal Highnesses’ side. An announcement will be made soon," the palace wrote in a statement.

In October, news broke that Markle and Prince Harry were expecting their first child, and a few months later we learned her expected due date was in late April or early May. The speculation about when Markle would give birth has been wild, especially these last few weeks, so Buckingham Palace released a rare statement saying it would announce when she was in labor. It appears the palace stayed true to its word.
