Meghan Markle & Kate Middleton Use a Simple Hack to Stop Their Dresses from Flying Up
In the face of wind, rain and other forces of nature, the royal family is expected to still follow protocol. So how do Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton avoid their hemline appropriate skirts and dresses from blowing up in that dreary London weather?
The answer, according to etiquette expert Myka Meier, is rather ingenious. Meier explained to The Sun that the duchesses wear undergarments chosen specifically to cause static so their frocks will cling to their legs.
“Often they wear body suits and clothes that actually increase static so it’s much harder for something to fly up. So you have an under garment that is almost like a body suit. That is one tactic used,” Meier said.
Queen Elizabeth, however, favors sewing little weights into her hemlines to prevent wardrobe malfunctions.
Looks like our Marilyn Monroe in Seven Year Itch moments are a thing of the past.
