Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle stepped out for their first solo outing today, by attending the Wimbledon women's final to watch Serena Williams play. Both wore stunning, summery outfits for the occasion, with Meghan wearing a Ralph Lauren blue striped blouse with white culottes-an outfit packed with meaning given the special connection between the fashion house, the Wimbledon tournament, and Meghan and Prince Harry's love story, according to Elle.com. Two years ago, Meghan attended Wimbledon as a famous actress and guest of Ralph Lauren. It's reported that Violet von Westenholz, Harry's childhood friend who does PR for Ralph Lauren, set them up while Meghan was in London for the match. Meghan "had slotted into the high society set really easily," a source told E!. "And so when Harry told Violet he was having trouble finding someone, Violet said she might just have the perfect girl for him." The two girls were photographed talking together during Wimbledon that July 2016.

As for Kate, her coveted style was instantly evident at this year's event, as she wore a fitted polka dot dress, that was cinched in at the waist. She paired the look with her trademark nude heels.

Both Meghan and Kate were in extremely good spirits as they arrived to watch Serena Williams compete in the women's final. Clearly, the Duchesses have been bonding since Meghan joined the family back in May.

It's been a busy week for Middleton, who is still technically on maternity leave. On Monday, the royal family celebrated Prince Louis' christening, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attending. Even though Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were unable to attend, the event was a momentous occasion for Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge as they christened their third child.

Both Kate and Meghan also attended the Royal Air Force's 100th Anniversary celebrations on Tuesday. The Duchess of Cambridge wasn't expected to attend, due to her maternity leave, but she arrived alongside her husband William, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

While Kate's children, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, didn't attend the festivities, they were spotting watching the events from a window in Buckingham Palace. True to form, Princess Charlotte could be seen sticking her tongue out at the crowd, while Prince George cheekily waved.
