We’re only two days in, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal tour of South Africa is already proving to be rich with fashion inspo. As per usual, Meghan Markle has been sporting some eye-catching looks that make us want to update our fall wardrobes ASAP. If she keeps going at this rate for the rest of the ten-day tour, let’s just say our wallets are in serious trouble.
Just as we stopped swooning over the amazing sustainable dress that she wore yesterday, Markle wowed us again with a chic maxi-and-flats combo as she and Prince Harry spent the afternoon at Auwal Mosque in Cape Town, the oldest mosque in South Africa. Indeed, it was a fitting way to spend South Africa’s Heritage Day.
MM donned an olive green Staud maxi shirtdress ($325) made from recycled tissue nylon, and paired it with some classic nude Sam Edelman flats ($100). It’s a look that’s so simple and brilliant that we wish we’d thought of it ourselves. But alas, we didn’t, so we’ll just have to take a cue from Markle and spend the rest of fall trying to mimic this effortless, yet sophisticated look.
