Meghan Markle Just Subtly Changed Her Hair Color

Her stylist coined it a "chocolate chestnut brunette."

Meghan Markle stepped out in Canada this weekend for the Invictus Games One Year To Go event in après-ski-inspired OOTDs. But, while we were all busy admiring her fashionable winter wear, the duchess was also debuting a new hair color that was a masterclass in subtle dye jobs.

Markle's hair colorist, Kadi Lee of Highbrow Hippie Salon, confirmed that the royal's hair is now a deeper shade of "chocolate chestnut brunette" with red and gold undertones a slight switch-up from her usual hue.

"This mixture of red and golden undertones makes a dynamic shade of brunette that not only gives skin the healthiest glow, especially during the colder months of winter, it also provides the hair with a next level high power shine,✨" the salon shared on Instagram alongside a roundup of photos of Markle.

Markle debuted the new shade during her and Harry's weekend up north, and shine it did. Although the couple had to brave subzero temperatures, Markle's hair stayed perfectly intact. The warm undertones were even more visible in the sunlight, and her bouncy curls looked glossy and polished underneath her beanie. At one point, she swept her hair into a side ponytail and deep side part that showed off the auburn highlights around the crown of her head.

During the special countdown festivities, Meghan and Harry watched competitions from the sidelines, though Harry participated in a few events himself, including skeleton sledding and curling. For the latter, he was joined by singer and Canadian Michael Bublé, and later, Harry and Meghan enjoyed a double date with the artist and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, at the One Year to Go Dinner.

In a new statement obtained by People, the Sussexes reflected back on their time in the "meaningful" place.

“We loved being back in Canada, a place so meaningful to both of us. It was an honor to be welcomed by the Four Host First Nations as we marked One Year To Go, together with Invictus coaches, competitors, and families,” the royals told the publication. “It filled our hearts to once again be surrounded by Canadian people, food and culture. We felt the Invictus spirit and excitement throughout Whistler and Vancouver and are so grateful to all our hosts for organizing such a memorable visit. We’re counting down the days until we return!”
