  • Meghan Markle showed up at Wimbledon to support her close friend Serena Williams.

  • Meghan is on maternity leave, and will next be seen at her son Archie's christening this weekend.

Meghan Markle just made a surprise appearance at Wimbledon to support her close friend Serena Williams, and-not to sound like a total nerd/stan, but she looked absolutely lovely.

Meghan arrived at the event with fellow Northwestern alums Genevieve Hills and Lindsay Roth, the latter of whom is one of Meghan's closest friends.

Genevieve and Lindsay will be attending Archie's Christening this weekend, though we won't know for sure if they'll be godparents due to Meghan and Harry keeping the list of names secret to protect everyone's privacy. However, pics from the event will be released, fear not.

FYI, Meghan was maid of honor in Lindsay's wedding, and even flew Lindsay out to Toronto to have a special wedding dress fitting at Kleinfeld Hudson's Bay. Apparently the pair met in a Toni Morrison literature class during their freshman year at Northwestern University, and they're super close. “I think people assume that when someone gains notoriety that they change," Roth told People a while back. "But she’s still the same girl I met years ago, with the same values and priorities. She’s selfless, and that’s just a part of who she is and who she was raised to be.”
