Meghan Markle Just Released a Statement About Her Dad (and We're Going to Need a Minute, OK?)
Sadly, it seems Thomas Markle won’t be attending his daughter’s wedding after all.
Meghan Markle just issued a statement via Kensington Palace about her dad, and while she keeps a stiff upper lip (learning a lot from the Brits, Megs?), it’s heartbreaking to know she planned to be walked down the aisle by her father before reports of him being checked into a hospital surfaced earlier this week.
The statement from Megs reads: “Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding. I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health. I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday.”
So who will give away Markle to Prince Harry this Saturday at St. George’s Chapel? Our bet’s on Doria Ragland, Markle’s mother, who arrived in London to meet the queen earlier this week. But it really is anyone’s guess.
