Meghan Markle Just Arrived in New Zealand Wearing a Plaid Trench and a Poppy Pin

From Town & Country

Following whirlwind visits to Australia, Fiji, and the Kingdom of Tonga, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are finishing out their tour of the Oceania region in New Zealand.

The royal couple just arrived in Wellington after spending all of Saturday helping to close out the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney.

For her first ensemble in the country, Meghan chose to wear a plaid trench by Karen Walker over a simple black dress. She paired the look with pumps from Sarah Flint, one of her favorite shoe brands, and a poppy pin, in honor of those soldiers who have died in war.

Harry and Meghan will start their trip to New Zealand with a traditional welcome ceremony on the lawn of government house. Then they'll visit Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, where the royals will lay a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior.

Knowing Meghan's penchant for quick changes, we wouldn't be surprised to see her in a number of outfits today. Later this afternoon, Harry and Meghan will meet with both New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and the leader of the opposition party. And in the evening they'll attend a reception hosted by the Governor General in celebration of the 125th anniversary of women's suffrage in New Zealand.

Meghan and Harry are hardly the first royals to visit the country. For example, Will and Kate brought Prince George on their tour of New Zealand in 2014.

And just a few years ago, Harry took his very first royal tour to New Zealand, though his itinerary, which was filled with football and rugby matches, looks a bit different this time around.
