Meghan Markle Will Honor Princess Diana with a Special Accessory on Her Wedding Day

Kate Middleton often pays homage to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, with similar outfits and family heirlooms. Now, Meghan Markle is following in the duchess’s footsteps.

For her upcoming nuptials to Prince Harry, Markle will reportedly wear the same tiara Princess Diana wore when she married Prince Charles in 1981. The accessory, known as the Spencer Tiara, is a family heirloom of Lady Di’s, and although it hasn’t been worn since her death in 1997, many royal aficionados believe the Spencer family will lend the tiara to the Suits star to wear during the highly anticipated wedding.

Sure, Markle already received a taste of the princess life when she was crowned homecoming queen in high school, but she isn’t allowed to wear an official tiara until she becomes Prince Harry’s wife.

If the Spencer Tiara rumors are true, it’ll be well worth the wait.
