Meghan Markle’s First Official Royal Gift Is Probably in Your Kitchen
On her journey to becoming a royal, Meghan Markle has already checked off a couple of boxes, like meeting the queen and crushing public appearances. Now she can knock another item off her royal checklist.
Every January, the royal family releases a list of all of the gifts they received in the previous calendar year. Though Meghan Markle is a new addition to the family, she already snagged her first royal gift in November: an apron.
The gift came via her soon-to-be brother-in-law, Prince William, who accepted the apron on her behalf during his royal tour of Finland just two days before Prince Harry and Markle announced their engagement.
The present seems to be one that Markle will actually use, as she famously roasted chicken at home for her beloved prince the evening he proposed.
