Meghan Markle Did This Super Normal Thing During Her Appearance and You Probably Missed It

Meghan Markle's first solo appearance as the Duchess of Sussex was today, and while she totally killed it at being a royal, she also did one very normal-human thing that you probably missed.

When Meghan got to the event, someone came to open her car door for her, but when she got out, instead of waiting for that person to shut the door behind her, she closed her door herself. There's a video of the whole thing.

Her hand placement screams, "I don't have time to wait for someone to shut this, I have England things to do. Goodbye." Or basically like, "Hello, yes, I'm just a normal person who happened to marry a prince and I'm the type to shut my own door."

Technically, she's shut her own door before, but it seems like something she likes to do. For example, at her cookbook launch last week, a driver opened both her and her mother's car doors, and while he shut Doria's, Meghan shut her own.

Basically, it's a quick reminder that she's a totally regs person at heart. Her event today was the opening of the Oceania exhibit at the Royal Academy. The exhibit displays 200 works of art of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia. Meghan got to check out the art and watch a performance while she was there.

She's always been with either Prince Harry or the Queen for royal engagements, so this is a first, and it looks like it went pretty well.
