The Duchess of Sussex debuted a new brow style at Royal Ascot, the five-day horse race that has a strict dress code and sounds very British. She showed up to the high-class event with squiggle brows, and Queen Elizabeth loved them so much she squiggled her own. Just kidding! Markle simply darkened and defined her brows more than usual, for a thinner shape featuring a straight arch.
According to People, Markle's new look is the "Aubrey Brow," as styled by her personal eyebrow artist Sherrille Riley of Nails and Brows salon in London. In fact, Markle is so fond of the style that the salon has updated the description to include her royal stamp of approval. The "Audrey Brow" description reads, "Inspired by Audrey Hepburn, this must-have modern style is worn by Meghan Markle. A creation by celebrity brow stylist Sherrille Riley, this style instantly lifts the face, creating an effortless, natural look." The treatment is 50 pounds, aka about $66. Markle isn't even the only royal involved — Riley also does brows for Princess Beatrice, who supposedly introduced Markle to the salon.
As Riley explained to People, the style is a continuation of Markle's favored natural look. “It’s particularly flattering on Meghan because it’s a really natural style and it really compliments her features — she’s a beautiful woman," she said.
For everyone who doesn't have a personal brow stylist (or a castle), Riley shared a few tips to style your brows like Markle's at home. First, grow the brows out fully. Then "try to shape the brows as straight as possible, making sure that the tail ends are lifted upwards. Fill in any gaps with a brow pencil." An arch fit for a Duchess.
