Meghan Markle dazzles in green Brandon Maxwell for Invictus Games reception in Australia

Pregnant Meghan Markle turned to her bespoke color for a reception on Tuesday night at Sydney's Admiralty House, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are staying for part of their 16-day tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga. The events, which were held in honor of Prince Harry's Invictus Games, were hosted by Australian Governor-General Peter Cosgrove and his wife.

Following a day of sightseeing in a form-fitting dress by Karen Gee, the duchess changed into an olive green shirtdress by one of her favorite designers, Brandon Maxwell. The belted dress currently retails for $1895 and is from Maxwell's Spring '19 collection.

Meghan accessorized the A-line dress, with its pleated design and bronze buttons, with a pair of nude pumps and a gold bracelet. She also donned an intricate pair of green and gold diamond butterfly earrings for the event, which were once owned by the late Princess Diana.

The reception on Tuesday night was also the first time the father-to-be broke his silence on the happy news.

"We also, genuinely, couldn’t think of a better place to announce, uh, the upcoming baby, be it a boy or girl, so thank you very much,” Harry said, grinning at his wife.

The duchess is due this spring.
