Today marks the official launch of Meghan Markle's first solo initiative as the Duchess of Sussex. She is championing a charity cookbook called Together, which is being sold to raise money for the Hubb Community Kitchen, a communal kitchen at the Al Manaar Centre in West London, which started as a place where those victims of the Grenfell Tower Fires could prepare fresh foods for their families and friends. Meghan not only supported the women of the kitchen in this creating this book, but she also wrote its foreward.

In honor of the book's debut, Meghan is throwing a party at Kensington Palace today. While royals are often the guests of honor at events such as this, Meghan is in full hostess mode, and she looks the part. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly helped cook tonight's menu of homemade coconut chicken curry, aubergine (that's eggplant, for those of us in the States) masala, dips to share, and caramelized plum upside-down cake for dessert. And she did it all in heels.

For the occasion, Meghan wore a blue coat by Smythe over a black top with a belt, a black skirt by her friend Misha Nonoo, and black pumps. See her full look in the videos below. We'll continue to add more photos as they come in.

According to the royal foundation's website, they hope to sell 50,000 copies of the book, to raise enough money to keep the kitchen open seven days a week. Fingers crossed they meet their goal!
