Meghan Markle broke royal protocol with a thigh-high slit in Australia -- and Twitter is not happy

It may be nearing freezing temperatures on the East Coast, but it's almost summer in Australia!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were quick to welcome the hot sun and breeze on Australia's Fraser Island over the weekend, just a few days after the palace announced that mom-to-be Meghan would be "slowing down" during the next few days of the couple's royal tour.
After taking the day off to rest, Meghan reunited with Prince Harry on Monday for a royal walkabout, sporting a flirty linen dress by sustainable American brand Reformation (shop her dress here!), her go-to Sarah Flint sandals and oversized Karen Walker sunglasses.
With its thigh-high slit, the dress was a bold look, even for protocol-pushing Meghan. Consequently, many on Twitter were quick to call out the revealing look. "Did someone forget to tell Meghan the royal dress code?" wrote one user.
I am not understanding this dress it’s completely see through and has a slit up the side? Seriously? Is she going for her own Princess Diana moment?

However, many royal fans were just happy to see Meghan well-rested and happy.
I'm glad to see Meghan refreshed and all smiling ❤️

So glad that the Duchess of Sussex was rested enough to take part in the meet and greet on Fraser Island. I'm sure it was a treat for all of the well wishers who looked happy to be in her presence. #RoyalVisitAustralia
