Over the course of the pandemic, I've become obsessed with indoor-outdoor shoes. It wasn't really something I needed before, but thanks to staying home a lot more, they've become almost a necessity for the times I need to briefly step out (or go downstairs to pick up way too many packages).
One of my favorite indoor-outdoor shoe options has become the pair of gorgeous Birdies slippers I was gifted. If you're not familiar with the brand's flats and slides, they're basically house slippers in disguise — they can be worn out, but they have plush, quilted insoles that make it feel like you're wearing luxe house shoes. It's no surprise that Meghan Markle herself is a fan of the brand's comfy shoes, too. She's worn styles like the Starling and Blackbird numerous times over the years, dating as far back as 2016.
While the slippers can get pretty pricey, Birdies is currently having its biannual Before They Fly Away sale, which means that you can snag a pair for as little as $50 right now. Compared to the usual $120–$165 price point, that's a total steal.

Many of the styles included in the sale are limited edition, which means once they're gone, they're gone for good. (My own pair of the Phoebe in Jacquard print doesn't exist anymore.) There are tons of stunning options to add to your cart, like this sequined Dove pair and Meghan Markle's Starling pick in a fall floral design. I know I'm snagging the Songbird in the satin-y copper style for myself, and there are also some super cozy, faux fur lined pairs on sale, which is super convenient for the winter.
