  • Meghan Markle is attending the Lion King U.K. premiere with Prince Harry on Sunday, Buckingham Palace confirms.

  • Beyoncé, who stars as Nala in the film, is expected to attend.

  • The singer showed love for the duchess by featuring her in a video during the BRIT Awards earlier this year.

Meghan Markle is joining Prince Harry at the U.K. premiere of The Lion King on Sunday, Buckingham Palace just announced, which can only mean one thing: She and Beyoncé will likely be under the same roof. The singer, who stars as Nala in the Disney remake, is expected to attend as well, according to royal correspondent Omid Scobie. She recently made an appearance at the L.A. premiere with daughter Blue Ivy this week.

The Duchess of Sussex is still on maternity leave after welcoming a son, Archie, with Prince Harry in May, but she's chosen to attend the upcoming premiere, ITV's royal editor Chris Ship reports. Royal moms can still pick and choose their public appearances during leave.

Meghan and Beyoncé's anticipated meet-up is expected to be a big one, given they're two of the most famous women on the planet. But it'll also be a powerful encounter considering how much love Queen Bey has shown to Duchess Meghan in recent months. The singer included a regal portrait of Meghan in her BRIT Awards acceptance video with Jay-Z in February, to which the royal reportedly reacted with the big eye (👀) emoji.

Beyoncé also congratulated Meghan on her pregnancy on Instagram and shared a tribute to her on her website in honor of Black History Month. She praised the former actress in her unique role as a woman of color in the British royal family.

"Meghan brought many Black traditions to her Royal Wedding including a Chicago-based Black pastor, an amazing gospel choir, and a young Black cellist," part of the message reads. "At the wedding her culture was front and center, and she and Prince Harry have continued to push the race relations dialogue forward both near and far."

We can't wait for these two to meet face to face.
