Meghan Markle is back on Instagram! But it’s not what you think.

The Duchess of Sussex quietly launched an Instagram account today for her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. She even shared a cryptic video on Stories. In the clip, Meghan is seen arranging a bouquet of white roses and cooking up something in what seems to be her Montecito home kitchen, wearing a casual white tank. The video is set to Nancy Wilson’s “I Wish You Love.”

Meghan is launching the Montecito-based brand as an extension of her old blog, the Tig, where she wrote about lifestyle, food, and fashion, and which she shut down after she got engaged to Prince Harry. American Riviera Orchard will focus on home, garden, food, and general lifestyle.

While last year there were whispers that Meghan would be following in Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop-y footsteps with a luxury wellness-centric platform, a friend of Meghan's told Harper’s Bazaar royal editor-at-large Omid Scobie (ahead of the release of his book Endgame) that Meghan’s new venture would be “something more accessible … something rooted in her love of details, curating, hosting, life’s simple pleasures, and family.” Added the friend, “Meghan is busy working on creating something safe and timeless. And something that won’t be accused of riding on the back of anything royal.”

American Riviera Orchard’s name seems to be a nod to Santa Barbara, California, where Meghan lives with husband Harry and their two children, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2, as Santa Barbara is often referred to as the “American Riviera” due to its warm climate, lush green landscapes, and food and wine scene.

Earlier this year, Meghan and Harry also relaunched the Sussex.com website, which has some ties to her old blog. To bring Sussex.com to life, the couple worked with Canadian digital design agency Article, which Meghan also worked with during her pre-duchess days.

“There is a reason I have worked with Ryan and the talented team at Article for a decade: their attention to detail, their creativity and care, and the thoughtful approach to design as well as to the user experience,” Meghan wrote in a review for the agency. “They’re not just designers; they are collaborators who elevate your ideas into visual identities. They’re a very special company. Plus they’re Canadian, so I’m a fan.”
