Meghan Markle's ‘Suits’ Run Has Come to an End & Here's What Went Down
It’s the end of an era for Rachel Zane on Suits.
The season seven finale aired on USA last night, and it bid farewell to two beloved cast members, Meghan Markle (Rachel) and Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross). Although we knew the on-screen couple was exiting the series at the end of the season, we can’t deny that the show did a fantastic job of answering all our burning questions and writing the characters out of the story line.
Here’s what went down on Markle’s final episode of Suits: The beginning of the episode foreshadows the couple’s departure, with both Mike and Rachel conveniently receiving job offers at a law firm in Seattle. The catch? They have only 48 hours to make a decision.
When Rachel realizes she can’t pass up the opportunity, she decides to go for it and enlists Donna (Sarah Rafferty) to plan her wedding…in two days. In the final minutes of the finale, Rachel says “I do” to Mike in a cheesy ceremony set to the tune of “All of Me” by John Legend before running off into the sunset to Seattle. *End scene*
Suits is expected to return for an eighth season (sans Mike and the future Mrs. Prince Harry) later this year. We’re not crying, you’re crying.
