Meghan Markle's Mom Doria Ragland Is "Overjoyed" About Her New Royal Grandson
Doria Ragland has publicly reacted to the birth of her grandchild, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal baby!
She's fully ready to be a grandma.
By welcoming their little bb into the world, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have become first-time parents, but they're not the only ones with new roles. Meghan's mama Doria Ragland is now a grandma, and word is that she's thrilled about it! The happy news from Buckingham Palace spotlighted Doria in her own paragraph, separate from the rest of the family.
"The Duchess's mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with Their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage," a statement from Buckingham Palace read. Awww!!
Doria plans to have a very hands-on approach to her grandma duties, too. Harry and Meghan were making secret trips to visit her in Los Angeles as recently as last month, but there have been rumors for ages that Doria will move into Frogmore Cottage with the couple now that Baby Sussex is here.
"She is getting ready to move to London. I think she will be going as soon as possible. I know that she was eager to live closer to her daughter," a source said in August. "She also fell in love with England and told me when she got back that it’s somewhere she believes she too could happily live."
In fact, Meghan and Harry reportedly chose the place because of it allows them to give Doria a full wing of the house! "It is believed Doria will stay with the Sussexes on a regular basis when she comes to visit her new grandchild," a separate source said.
Since Meghan and Harry are opting out of the whole nanny thing, having Doria around will certainly be helpful.
