Meghan Markle's Friends Call Her This Nickname
Even though Meghan Markle's official royal title is Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex, she won't make her friends call her that - so gracious and humble, right? But Daniel Martin, Meghan's longtime friend and makeup artist who did her makeup on her wedding day, was totally caught off guard when it came time to address her.
"I asked her that. 'Do I bow to you? I don't want to disrespect you, but I've known [her] for almost ten years," Daniel told People. "What's up?'" Ah, a tough question! What does one call their best friend who suddenly joins the royal family? Surely you can't call her that embarrassing nickname you gave her way back when.
According to Daniel, "She started laughing and she said, 'I'm always going to be Meg. Meg.'" How sweet! Daniel continued, "But next time I see them I will be respectful and know my protocol. But Meg is always going to be Meg, that's how it is!"
She's only been royal for less than a week so it's a good thing the fame hasn't gone to her head already. But, TBH, if I somehow became a duchess, I want all my friends to curtsey and call me by my full title. Y'all have been warned!
But back to my girl Meg. She previously shared she has quite a few other nicknames, including Flower, M&M, Nutmeg, Bean, and MM, all of which her friends can probably still call her along with Meg.
So when can I come tour the castle, girlfriend!? Meg? Bean? You there?
