Meghan Markle's Cooking Is Said to Make Princess Charlotte Swoon with Glee

Meghan Markle has long nurtured a love of cooking. Now that she's wed to Prince Harry and a member of the royal family, it's said that she sharing the joy of food with her niece Princess Charlotte and nephews Prince George and Prince Louis.

According to a March 2018 article from Entertainment Tonight, Meghan is hands-on about cooking for the little ones. "An avid cook, Meghan often pops around to visit with Kate and the kids dropping off treats," a source tells Entertainment Tonight. It's no secret that Markle loves cooking. Prior to joining the royal family, she even maintained a blog, The Tig, where she frequently shared recipes. In September 2018, she also released a cookbook project, Together: Our Community Cookbook, for which she wrote the foreword.

While we don't know the details of what the Duchess of Sussex whips up for Princess Charlotte and her siblings, we're thinking some childhood staples might be involved.

"But you know what I do really happen to lovvvvve is that boxed macaroni and cheese. I now buy the Annie’s organic one if I’m craving it, but I throw some frozen peas into it and have this gooey simple childlike meal," Markle once opened up to Athena Calderone of lifestyle blog eyeswoon. "I used to cook it for the kids I would babysit and I always enjoyed feeling like a kid and eating it with them. I’m also not averse to eating tater tots. With ketchup and sriracha."

Interestingly, Meghan Markle is said to be a "weekday vegan" (though her diet may have changed now that she's pregnant). We wonder if any plant-based versions of beloved comfort foods like mac and cheese have made it into the royal residences' walls.

Should Markle, however, find herself peregrinating in our parts, we, too, are not averse to eating tater tots. With barbecue sauce.
