Meghan Markle's Airport Outfit Is a Master Class in Traveling in Comfort

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is one busy lady. Not only is she somewhere around four months pregnant with the next royal baby, but she’s also jet-setting around the globe with her husband, Prince Harry, as part of their Commonwealth tour. So it’s no surprise that she wants to be both stylish and comfortable during her journey.

While boarding her flight from Australia to Fiji this week, the Duchess was spotted in what can only be described as the world’s most perfect airport outfit.

On top, Meghan wore a comfortable poplin piece — the Eileen button-down shirt by Frank & Eileen (neimanmarcus.com, $228). The tailored shirt, which is made with cotton from the finest Italian fabric mill, comes with just the right amount of weight to keep someone at the ideal temperature while flying.

She left the shirt loose over her Harriet Outland jeans. The high-rise denim is the company’s most popular cut. Each pair is crafted from organic denim, making them soft and stretchy, which is optimal for those long-haul royal flights. Sadly, the jeans are currently sold out but you can still pre-order them here.

Finally, Meghan wore the airport shoe we should all be wearing: slides. This way Meghan can simply slide her shoes on and off for both security and when she's comfortably seated in first class.

For this flight, Meghan picked a pair of Aquazzura DJ Mules. The shoe by the high-end Italian brand is made with supple leather and soft suede uppers. The DJ mules also feature a pointed toe for a bit more elegance, a flat heel for comfort, and silver-tone stud detailing to up the fashion ante. This is really more of a travel investment piece as each pair retails for $860. But really, you can’t put a price on traveling in comfort. Especially with a baby on board.
