Meghan Looks Stunning in a Blush Dress for Her National Theatre Visit
Earlier in January it was announced that Queen Elizabeth would be handing over one of her most important royal patronages-at the National Theatre in London-to Meghan Markle. And following the exciting news, Meghan has made her first public visit to the venue.
Being named as the National Theatre's official royal patron has been an important step for the Duchess of Sussex, especially considering her background as an actress prior to joining the royal family when she married Prince Harry.
For the visit, Meghan looked stunning in a blush dress and matching jacket.

Announcing the event on Twitter ahead of time, the official Kensington Palace account revealed, "The visit will explore the organization's work, and see The Duchess meet some of the talented teams and apprentices working behind the scenes." Royal correspondent Emily Andrews also confirmed the visit tweeting, "I’ll be with #Meghan today as she meets NT cast and crew."

Back in December 2018, royal correspondent Omid Scobie revealed on Twitter that Meghan had conducted a private meeting with the director of the National Theatre in London, Rufus Norris.
According to the Mail on Sunday, Meghan's patronage at the National Theatre could see her "strengthening connections between the theatre and American benefactors." Considering her experience in the industry, and her standing as an American citizen, the Duchess of Sussex is perfect for the role. Her role as royal patron may also see her working with New York-based charity The American Associates of the National Theatre, to help raise funds for productions.
