What Meghan and Kate Wore to Hang with the Queen
Meghan Markle had her first solo engagement with The Queen on Thursday, and she looked bomb. Like, from Suits to Slaying, to be honest!

While Meghan opted to wear a lovely ivory pencil dress by Givenchy, let's take a look at what Kate Middleton wore before her! The Duchess of Cambridge had her first outing with Queen Elizabeth almost an entire year after she and Prince William married in April 2011.
The event took place on March 8, 2012, when the Queen and Kate (plus Prince Philip) traveled to Leicester as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour which celebrated her 60-year reign.
Kate wore a teal suit by L.K. Bennet and a hat by James Lock, opting for a business-like look for her big day. Not honestly that dissimilar to Kate's look in terms of style (they both wore fitted, belted outfits), but Kate certainly looked more "traditional" in a fascinator and up-do, while Meghan opted to wear her hair down sans hat.
