  • Following last week's busy schedule of public royal engagements, it's been revealed that Meghan Markle met with the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern, on Monday at Kensington Palace.

  • Royal commentator Omid Scobie revealed on Twitter that the Duchess of Sussex "was pleased to have the chance to thank the PM for the wonderful hospitality [she and Harry] received from the people of New Zealand last year."

  • Ardern, of course, welcomed Harry and Meghan in New Zealand as part of their first royal tour. The Prime Minister also attended a reception at Government House in Wellington held by the Governor-General of New Zealand, at which Meghan gave an empowering speech about women's suffrage.

Following the news that Prince William had a secret meeting with David Attenborough last week, it's now been revealed that Meghan Markle has been conducting her own private meeting at Kensington Palace.

Greeting the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the Duchess of Sussex took the opportunity to reflect on the royal tour, and to return the favor by welcoming Jacinda Ardern in London.

Royal correspondent Omid Scobie tweeted the news, revealing that Meghan "was pleased to have the chance to thank the PM for the wonderful hospitality [she and Harry] received from the people of New Zealand last year."

Scobie even gave some insight into what it was like meeting with Ardern during the royal tour, explaining on Twitter, "Enjoyed chatting with Jacinda on the tour. She came away from her time with Harry and Meghan impressed, telling me: 'The Duke and Duchess are both very warm people... They really care about the work they do, they take their service seriously and I have a lot of respect for that.'"

During their time in New Zealand, Meghan and Harry met with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on several occasions, including at a reception in Wellington that was held in their honor, and to visit the Auckland War Memorial Museum. Ardern also accompanied the royals on their visit to Pillars, a charity supporting children who have a parent in prison:

Meghan's private meeting comes after a busy week of public engagements. From visiting the Mayhew, the animal welfare center of which she's a patron, to attending a charity performance of Cirque du Soleil's Totem at the Royal Albert Hall, Meghan's schedule continues to be hectic.
