Meghan & Harry Are Moving to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor in 2019

• Reports that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be leaving Nottingham Cottage in 2019 have been confirmed by Kensington Palace.

• It was initially believed that Meghan and Harry would move into the 20-bedroom apartment next door to Kate Middleton and Prince William in Kensington Palace.

• It's now been confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will actually be moving into Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle.

Reports that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry plan to leave their current Kensington Palace residence have been finally confirmed.

In an official statement shared by several royal reporters, Kensington Palace revealed that Meghan and Harry are moving out of Nottingham Cottage in Kensington Palace in the new year, and will no longer be Kate Middleton and Prince William's neighbors. The royal Fab Four are no more.

Rather than moving into the 20-bedroom apartment next door to Kate, William, and their children-Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis-Meghan and Harry will move into Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate. Meghan and Harry are, of course, are expecting their first baby in Spring 2019.

Per Kensington Palace's official statement, "Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate. The Duke and Duchess’s official office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace."

Royal commentator Emily Andrews broke the news, revealing that "the Queen has given them Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. It’s within the private Home Park and faces the beautiful grounds of Frogmore House. It’s where they had their private evening wedding party & where their gorgeous engagement pictures were shot." Andrews also noted that It’s currently the property is "undergoing a large refurbishment to turn it back from staff accommodation to a family home," so the move won't be immediate.

Having celebrated their fairytale nuptials in the main house, it's unsurprising that Meghan and Harry would want to return to Frogmore and build their family home there:

Roya Nikkah previously reported the news, revealing that Harry and William's infamous double-act was coming to an end with the arrival of baby Sussex. At the time, a royal source told The Sunday Times, "The brothers have leant on each other and looked after each other since their mother died. But now they have their own families, they no longer rely on each other as before."

With families of their own, it's understandable that the royal brothers would want to define their own roles within the royal family.

It truly is the end of an era.
