Meghan, Duchess of Sussex Makes Over This British Fashion Staple With American Flair
The Duchess of Sussex is on a royal roll. She joined her sister-in-law Kate Middleton on Saturday for the women’s final at Wimbledon (in a very linesman-friendly Ralph Lauren ensemble) and headed to the Southbank Centre in London today to visit the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibit with her husband Prince Harry. For the occasion, Markle stepped out in an British alternative to the shirtdress: the trench dress.
Markle’s version from Calgary-based fashion label Nonie retails for $825 and came with a sense of romance thanks to its blush pink hue. The double-breasted silhouette, one which Markle has donned in a more fanciful form from Prada for the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards ceremony, was flattering and chic.
Markle kept her accessories simple and tonally coordinated with a ladylike clutch by Mulberry and classic stiletto heels by Dior.
