Megan Thee Stallion is Teaming Up With Depop for a “Hot Girl Summer” Collection

Spoiler alert: it’s super hot.

If there were one phrase that perfectly described the months of June, July, and August of 2019, that would be "Hot Girl Summer" — without a doubt. The phrase — created by artist Megan Thee Stallion around her album Fever — was so popular and inspiring that it extended far beyond summer and into fall and winter. That's why the rapper is taking her summer hit to the next level with a brand new fashion collection.

According to Vogue, Megan has partnered with Depop to drop a collection featuring looks from her music video for "Hot Girl Summer," as well as her other single "All Dat." The collection, called "Texas Fever," will be released this Friday, January 17, on Megan's Depop profile .

The clothes are said to be inspired by Megan's home state of Texas and will include Houston-favorite pieces and iconic looks from her music videos, right out of Megan's own closet. And, honestly, what's hotter than that? Well, actually, it might proceeds reportedly going to F*ck Cancer.

“The creative community in Houston is kind of hidden, you wouldn’t even know there are so many young people here designing and selling their own clothes," the Coachella headliner told Vogue. "I can find vintage pieces and not have to buy something new. I’ve been trying to use less plastic after my beach cleanup last year and I’m definitely going to try and buy more cool vintage pieces now that I’m on Depop.”

Depop is an online thrifting app similar to Poshmark that's very popular amongst teens and young adults worldwide, making it the perfect home for Megan's collection. The collection will also mark Depop's first-ever partnership with a celebrity.

As for Megan, her main hope with "Texas Fever," is to shine a light on the creatives of Texas. "'Texas Fever’ is about celebrating Texan attitude," she added, "It’s about big hoops, big hair, we got the whole cowboy and cowgirl aesthetic that everyone now wants to wear, but we all know who started it first. I definitely think Texans have a unique style. I mean, everything’s bigger in Texas!"

Get your credit cards ready, because this collection is one you won't want to miss!
