Update, November 4, 2021: Since Megan Thee Stallion released her collab with Popeyes last month, people have been loving it. The Hottie Sauce, so aptly named, brings together the sweet and spicy parts of the artist's personality in a dippable condiment made with honey, cider vinegar, and Aleppo pepper.

I wanted to see if the title matched the flavor. After all, we know Megan can handle the heat after crushing it on an episode of "Hot Ones." So I ordered an 8-piece chicken nugget meal with three of the Hottie sauces to get a taste of the sweet and spicy.

The smell is sweet with a slight tang. A dip of a nug, and I can see how thick its texture is. The flavor starts off sweet but then changes. Slowly, it morphs into a tangy-ness, and a few seconds later, the heat kicks in. It lingers for a while, but just long enough until you've taken your next bite.

Honestly, I was impressed. The sauce is delicious and has a sweet chili vibe to it with a bit more complexity. 10/10 would recommend.

Original Post, October 14, 2021: We love getting a little peek into celebrities’ lives and preferences, which is one of the reasons we love their fast-food collaborations so much. Now we see what they order at these spots! We know that Saweetie likes a Big Mac, four-piece McNuggets, medium fries, and a medium Sprite from McDonald's (The Saweetie Meal). Nelly goes for a Whopper, small fries, and small Sprite (The Cornell Haynes Jr Meal) at Burger King. And we know that Lil Huddy loves a Spicy Ch’King with mozzarella sticks and a chocolate shake (The Chase Hudson Meal), also at Burger King.

Megan Thee Stallion is the latest celeb to work with a fast food chain, though she didn’t choose a meal. Instead, she worked with Popeyes to create a hot sauce that matches her personality: Yep, here comes the Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce, a sweet and spicy mixture that matches her personality. It’s made with honey, cider vinegar, and Aleppo pepper, and starting on October 19, you can order it with your Popeyes chicken sandwich or chicken nuggets.

“I’m appreciative of Popeyes' commitment to empowering Black women and look forward to opening Popeyes restaurants,” Megan said in a press release. “Teaming up with Popeyes is such a milestone in my journey and evolution as an entrepreneur. I’ve always been a fan of the Popeyes brand and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the brand and help create the new Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce for their line-up.”

This spicy sauce joins the company’s lineup of dipping sauces for a limited time. Reward members will get 100 extra points when they order it on the app or website. Plus, there will be a merch drop of some spicy tees, hats, bikinis, and plush dog toys to go alongside your Hottie Sauce chicken sandwich.
