When you picture Megan Thee Stallion, you surely imagine her with her signature ultra-long, jet-black waves. Though she has tried cherry cola, cowboy copper, and other bright hair colors, she always goes back to her staple look. However, her dark hair may be a thing of the past—at least for now.

On December 13, Thee Stallion posted an Instagram photo announcing her new song with Reneé Rapp, "Not My Fault," off of the new Mean Girls musical movie soundtrack. In the cover art, the rap superstar was posed with blonde hair, giving us major Regina George vibes. On December 14, she gave us an even closer look at the new shade.

Though it's most likely a temporary change to channel the archetypical mean girl, we wouldn't be mad if she stayed blonde forever. The new look traveled just below her chest—the go-to length for Meg—with a bright blonde color. Not so much a silver blonde, way too bright to be a honey blonde, the star's hair was a classic platinum blonde moment, still with a stylish tinge of yellow. She styled the hair with layers of loose waves and parted it to the side, letting some strands graze her face and cover her eyes.

Even if she didn't have a perfect reason to try out blonde, it would still be right on trend with what all the popular girls are doing nowadays. In case you missed it, plenty of other celebs have gone blonde this past month. First, it was Kim Kardashian going beige blonde, then Rihanna trying out honey blonde, followed by Beyoncé topping them all with icy silver blonde hair. Not to mention Selena Gomez going practically blonde with layers of honey highlights, proving that this winter, it's all about going lighter.

All that said, Meg must have filmed the music video on a Wednesday, seeing as she paired the Mean Girls mane with an all-pink ensemble.

The outfit was like a Juicy Couture tracksuit made into a three-piece set. She layered a hot pink velour bikini top with heart detailing underneath a matching ultra-cropped jacket. Then, on the bottom, she added super mini shorts in the same matching fabric. That's not all, though. In the artwork for the single, Meg wore a semi-sheer pink matching set with a dramatic fluffy hat.
