Megan Fox's XXL ponytail is serving 00s 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen' vibes

Megan Fox just brought so many memories flooding back with her latest beauty look. The star was totally channelling her teenage self with a distinctly 00s vibe in a new Instagram post – and if you told me this was a deleted scene from Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, I would believe you. Carla Santini, is that you?

In fact those true cinaphile's among us will probably even have flashes of Brianna Wallace, Megan's 2001 mean girl character in Mary-Kate and Ashley's Holiday in the Sun.

The sky-high ponytail was parted in the front, forming a sweeping slick back, with one extra-long asymmetric tendril, and, of course it's all totally slick and straight. Created by celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, the ponytail was combined with fashion styling by Maeve Riley , and coming together it's a delicious ode to 'that girl' circa 2006. Bratz Doll energy.

And the comments agreed, with plenty of people also instantly seeing Carla:

The baby blue corset and pink fluffy cardigan is just about as 00s as it gets but credit where credit is due, this pony is a key ingredient in this immaculate display of Y2K glory days.

While Regina George is the ultimate high profile 00s Mean Girl, Carla Santini is kind of equally iconic, she just doesn't get her flowers enough.

But we're glad to have her back. Even if just for one post.
