  • Megan Fox recently drew attention to a GoFundMe started by her longtime nail tech.

  • The social media post led to the GoFundMe receiving a flood of donations from fans.

  • But some are questioning why Fox wouldn't just give the nail tech the total amount herself.

What should Megan Fox do with her money? And should we get to dictate that?

Obviously, Megan Fox is rolling in those sweet, sweet Jonah Hex residuals. But just because we, the viewing public, helped Megan accrue her fortune by buying many, many tickets to the 2010 DC Comics western Jonah Hex (and, to a lesser extent, the Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films), does that mean we get to complain when she chooses to spend that money on fancy Norse cakes for Machine Gun Kelly as opposed to, say, the medical bills for her longtime nail tech?

That's the question raised after Megan Fox brought attention to a GoFundMe created by Brittney Boyce, her nail tech, to help pay for Boyce's father's medical bills.

When Boyce launched her GoFundMe to help pay for her father's cancer treatment, Fox used her platform as a celebrity to bring attention to the cause and solicit donations. "Megan's reposting seems to have boosted Michael's donations quite a bit—in just 3 days, the GoFundMe has climbed past $7,600—the goal's been raised to $60k," reports TMZ.

But where some might see this as a positive thing since a sick man will have the money to get the treatment he needs, others are treating Fox like she's a more sinister villain than John Malkovich's Quentin Turnbull, who famously squared off against Megan Fox and Josh Brolin in the 2010 summer blockbuster Jonah Hex.

The reason? Fans noticed that Fox herself hadn't donated to the campaign. Some posited that perhaps Fox contributed anonymously, but if so, the highest anonymous donation amount was a meager $100. Others felt Fox's wealth meant she could have paid the entire medical expense herself.

Fox was quick to clap back at her critics, saying that the aforementioned nail tech didn't want Fox to cover the costs, as that would create a power imbalance between them that she wasn't comfortable with. And then, as TMZ describes it, "In her IG story, Megan also questions her haters' emotional intelligence... and ends by calling them psychos."

Fox also assured her fans that, should Boyce ask, Fox would happily provide her with whatever she needed, but she would do so privately. After all, we're not entitled to every detail of Megan Fox's personal life, any more than President Ulysses S. Grant was entitled to the services of Jonah Hex as "Sheriff of the entire United States" in the 2010 Warner Bros. release Jonah Hex.
