In a recent chat with legend Carol Burnett for Interview Magazine, Ryan revealed that her grown-up kids are quite embarrassed by that iconic scene. Her children Jack Quaid and Daisy Ryan have called it a “very unique embarrassment.”

“It’s funny,” she said, “My son just called me this morning, and he’s in New York staying at a hotel that’s right across the street from Katz’s Deli. My daughter was here, and everybody was on speaker, and they were like, ‘Mom, this is a very unique embarrassment.’”

She added that her son said, “‘You know you can go into that deli and there’s an arrow pointing down to the table where you shot that scene.”‘

For those who don’t know, Ryan starred alongside Crystal in the 1989 film When Harry Met Sally, which is a romantic comedy that follows two people who meet before a cross-country drive, and have years of chance encounters, all ending with trying to answer the question “Can men and women ever just be friends?”

Now, the orgasm scene is a culturally significant one where Ryan and Crystal have an argument on whether or not he could tell if a woman was faking an orgasm. In response, Ryan vividly fakes one right at the table they’re dining at to prove a point, and it’s become a significant rom-com moment… and we can imagine why her kids aren’t too thrilled about being reminded of it.

Ryan has two children in total. She welcomed a son named Jack Quaid in April 1992 with her ex-husband Dennis Quaid, and later, she adopted a girl named Daisy True, who was born in 2004.
