In the Atlanta-based rapper Gunna’s “Drip Too Hard,” a collaboration with Lil Baby, the Young Thug affiliate proclaims: “Designer to the ground, I can barely spell the names.” However, premier fashion designers seem to be embracing him whether or not he knows how to spell their names. This week at Paris Fashion Week Men’s, the rapper has been spotted front row at Heron Preston, where he bumped shoulders with Virgil Abloh, and at Louis Vuitton, which occurred earlier today.

Although Gunna walked in Pyer Moss’s show this past fall, this marks his first time attending the collections in Paris, where he’s also taken in shows such as Off-White and Yohji Yamamoto. Gunna wants to take his foray into the fashion world even further, if these notable appearances don’t already make that clear. “Fashion is so important to me,” he says. “I’ve always spoken about it in my music. I would like to work with brands I personally love, like Haider Ackermann, Chanel, or Off-White, to even newer brands like Rhude and A-Cold-Wall. It’s easier and more organic when you know and love the brand already,” he says, spoken like a true fashion veteran already.

He’s well aware of how interconnected the worlds of music and fashion are. Gunna says seeing this relationship in action is one of his biggest takeaways from his Paris Fashion Week Men’s experience so far. “I’m not sure people understand how important fashion is to me,” he says, but judging off the exclusive, behind-the-scenes photo diary he’s shared with Vogue, his enthusiasm seems apparent. Take a look above at the photos he’s shared, and pay special attention to the massive, snake-adorned diamond nameplate hanging on his neck, as well as the bold combination of bright blue and purple outerwear (and bucket hat) that he wore to Louis Vuitton today. Gunna is drippy, indeed.
