Oscar Isaac and Elvira Lind have been together for a decade. They tied the knot in 2017, and they have two sons.

Recently, the two stepped out to attend Clooney Foundation For Justice Inaugural Albie Awards at New York Public Library, and Isaac was photographed looking at his wife lovingly:

But who is Danish filmmaker Elvira Lind? Here's everything you need to know about Oscar Issac's wife.

She was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark.

"I am a Danish director from Copenhagen based in New York. I finished film school in Cape Town, in 2006, majoring in documentary film. I have worked within that field since directing and shooting documentaries of various lengths for TV, cinema and web so far on 4 different continents," Lind writes on her website. "Although making documentaries are my primary love I cross over and have random but passionate affairs with fiction from time to time."

She's directed documentary films like Hot Docs (2014) and Bobbi Jean (2017), and "The Letter Room," a short film starring her husband that was nominated for an Oscar in 2020.

"We work a lot on each other’s things," Lind said of directing Isaac in "The Letter Room." "We’ve been a big part of each other’s productions for many years so it’s been fun to open a place where we can start creating things for real." On the note of Oscar Isaac...

"I went to a party, and I was forced to be at this party, and I went dressed as Llewyn [Davis]," Isaac recalled to NPR. "It was a month before shooting [Inside Llewyn Davis]. And then I was sitting in the corner just eating. I was the only person eating at the party. And this girl who ended up, she's a documentary filmmaker, so obviously she spotted the weirdo and went directly to that one." In 2020, Lind confirmed they met in 2012 on her Instagram, writing that her favorite dress "helped me lure in my now husband eight years ago."

The rest, they say, is history. They made their red carpet debut in 2016, tied the knot in 2017, and welcomed sons Eugene in 2017 and Mads in 2019.

On why they got married, Isaac told GQ: "Tons of reasons. She's Danish—she's not a citizen, and she was very pregnant, and there was an element of figuring out 'Well, where are we going to be?' And us wanting to be a family unit a bit more. Also, the Danes, they don't really believe in marriage. I think it has a lot to do with the equality of the sexes over there. Marriage doesn't mean anything financially, because the state takes care of people. So the marriage itself becomes less important. But, you know, at the time, right before it happened, my mom was ill, and so I saw her carrying my child, bathing my sick mom—seeing her do that, I just thought: I want to be with this person forever and ever. And I just wanted to take that extra step as well. And so my mom passed in February and we got married in March and our son was born in April."

She has a great Instagram, @elvira_lind_.

Her feed is filled with adorable family shots.

She started a production company, Mad Gene Media, with Isaac.

"We’ve got a lot of different projects going on," Lind shared. "There’s just a lot of things in the works and it’s super exciting for us. We’ll be making various types of productions. Both, we’ve got a graphic novel in the making, podcast, documentary, fiction. So, there’s a lot going on."
