The Law & Order SVU star and Grammy-winning rapper knows what's most important in life.

For 24 seasons Ice-T has played Sgt. Odafin "Fin" Tutuola on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. After more than 400 episodes tracking down criminals, the rapper and actor holds the distinction of being the longest-running male actor in a TV series and the longest-running Black actor on television. (His co-star, Mariska Hargitay, holds the record for longest-running female actor in a TV series.)

Despite records, the Grammy-winning songwriter and producer is clear about his priorities. For Ice-T, who was orphaned by the time he was in the seventh grade, his three kids are everything to him. He also has a sense of humor about parenting. In January, he posted a meme on instagram that said: “Being a dad is mostly about being grumpy and knowing things.”

Who are the mothers of Ice T’s kids?

Ice T's three children have three different mothers.

—Adrienne (sometimes called Adrienne Marrow) was Ice T's flame when they were students at Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles. She is LeTesha Marrow's mother.

—Darlene Ortiz is the mother of Ice T's son, Tracy Marrow Jr. She and T met in 1984 on the set of breakdance movie Breakin and were together for 15 years.

—Coco Austin, the mother of Ice T's youngest daughter, Chanel Nicole Marrow, has been married to Ice T since January 2002. The couple was married for 13 years before they had Chanel.

LeTesha Marrow

Ice-T and girlfriend Adrienne's daughter LeTesha Marrow was born March 20, 1976  when the couple was still in high school. Little is known about her mother but LeTesha Marrow is a radio host of #TheStreetSizTalking and also a writer, director and actress. She is also the mother of three children, which make Ice a grandfather!

Tracy Marrow Jr.

Tracy Marrow Jr, also known as “Little Ice,” was born Nov. 23, 1991. He's a Grammy-winning actor, musician and record producer. Since 2017 he has been a vocalist in Ice-T’s band Body Count.

Chanel Nicole Marrow

Ice T's youngest daughter, Chanel Marrow, was born Nov. 28, 2015 in Englewood, N.J. She is only 7, but she does keep busy with her own Instagram account, which is run by her parents. She describes herself as a “Fashionista, Roblox player, ipad professional, animal lover. world traveler” and “modeling & performing is in my blood.”

How many times has Ice-T been married?

That would be just once, his current marriage to Chanel's mother, Coco Austin. The couple married in 2002. They waited 14 years to have a child. "'Thirty-five. I'm going to have a child' — I've been saying that my entire life," Austin told E! News.

Was Ice-T married to daughter LeTesha Marrow’s mother?

Ice-T was not married to Adrienne, LeTesha's mother. The couple met when they were in high school. In his memoir, Ice A Memoir Of Gangster Life And Redemption From South Central To Hollywood, Ice-T wrote about how he and Adrienne struggled when LeTesha was born.

“Adrienne was still going to high school and I took care of the baby. I had no job but still had to come up with the money for food, clothes, and diapers,” he wrote. "I started doing anything I could to bring in some bucks. Little petty crimes. Boosting car stereos. Even selling bags of weed… But the petty crime wasn’t cutting it…”

Was Ice-T married to Darlene Ortiz?

Ice-T and Darlene Ortiz were together from 1984 to 2001 but never officially tied the knot. “Our relationship was my first attempt to hold a family together,” Ice-T wrote in his memoir. “I grew up an orphan, so I wanted to be there for Little Ice." He said his life with Darlene and Little Ice was more stable than when LeTesha was growing up.

"Things were going well—as well as they’d ever gone financially. I was recording hit albums and doing big-budget movies. We had a beautiful house in Sunset Plaza, a Bentley, sports cars, all the entrapments of fame," wrote Ice-T. "By any measure, I was doing well. But sometimes you hit a point in your career where you have to go full circle, when you have to start at the beginning again.”

What was it like for Ice-T to have a child at 57?

On Final Level’s podcast Ice-T talked about the impact of becoming a parent to Chanel later in life, "At this point, I didn't really know what was going to make me excited. Like, another hit record? No. Another show? No. I've been really fortunate but this was something that really made me say wow. It's a beautiful thing.”

How did Ice-T navigate having Coco Austin in his life with his other children?

In his autobiography, Ice A Memoir Of Gangster Life And Redemption From South Central To Hollywood, Ice-T shares that Coco was the first woman he dated who he introduced to Little Ice. "I’d seen other women before Coco, but I never felt that another woman was the right one to meet my son,” he writes. Ice-T went on to say that Coco doesn’t act like a mom to Little Ice. “She doesn’t try to discipline him. Doesn’t get in his face. If Little Ice and me are having conflict, or Little Ice and Darlene are having conflict, she steers clear of it,” he wrote. “Coco knows she’s my partner. So if she has any issues with my son, she’s very careful to relay it through me. And then I bring it to Ice.”

Is Ice-T a Grandfather?

Yep. His daughter, Letesha Marrow, is the mother of three children, two sons and a daughter. Little is known about her kids, but their names are Sah'cyah, Cojahlei and Elyjah. Her eldest son, Elyjah occasionally shows up in photos from the recording studio with Letesha's younger brother and his grandfather.
