Meet Everyone's New Favorite TLC Show, 'Doubling Down With the Derricos'

TLC fans, meet your new favorite family: The Derricos.

Karen and Deon Derrico are parents to now 14 (yes, 14!) kids, and they are all starring in a new TLC show called Doubling Down With the Derricos, which premieres Tuesday, August 11 at 10 p.m. ET.

In an exclusive clip shared with Good Housekeeping, Karen, who is pregnant with triplets in the premiere episode (so we only see 11 of the kids here), and Deon explain what their daily life is like parenting their large family, which, in addition to two kids born individually, is comprised of quintuplets, triplets, two sets of twins.

"One thing that helps us out having multiples is that they help each other navigate chores and duties around the house," Karen reasons in the clip above. "And they learn from each other." Meanwhile, Deon chimed in to say that with his triplets, he and Karen never actually taught them how to take something to the trash — instead, they picked this up from watching their siblings.

Later on in the video, we see a glimpse inside the Derrico household as Karen gets her large family ready for bed. When everyone has their teeth brushed and jammies on, Karen starts to read all 11 a bedtime story.

"I love story time with them because that's when I get to read them the story and then with that, then we sing the little parts of the book," Karen tells the camera. Moments later, 5-year-old quintuplets Deonee, Daician, and Daiten appeared on screen. Daician declared that their mom was best at story time, but their dad was the better cook.

The clip concludes with the family saying their prayers together and wishing Karen a "healthy delivery."

"Although I've been on bedrest every single pregnancy, the part that makes it hard is I have more children," Karen explains. "And I have younger children, so it makes it hard because they all have their own needs and it's not just about me. That's what stresses me out."

According to a press release from TLC, the premiere will follow what happens when Deon has to manage their 11-child household on his own while Karen is advised by her doctor to spend the rest of her pregnancy in the hospital.
