Clint Eastwood's kids have definitely followed him into the family business.

While scores of fans around the world are looking forward to Clint Eastwood’s latest movies, there is a special group of family members—many of them in the entertainment business—who most likely watch his films with a keener and knowing eye—his many children.

The ruggedly handsome actor, director, composer and producer, who is often called "a cultural icon of masculinity” first achieved success in the Western genre with the TV series Rawhide, and rose to international fame with his role as the Man with No Name; one of many spaghetti Westerns during the mid-1960s, and later as the beloved antihero cop Harry Callahan in five Dirty Harry movies.

In addition to directing many of his own movies, he has also directed movies for other A-list actors, including Mystic River (Sean Penn, Tim Robbins and Kevin Bacon), Letters from Iwo Jim, the Changeling, Invictus, and American Sniper (Sienna Miller and Bradley Cooper).

A political activist, Eastwood was elected in 1986 as the mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea and served for two years.

His most recent film project is Cry Macho, a Western about a washed-up horse breeder on the road to redemption. Cry Macho was filmed in New Mexico, and based on a 1975 book from N. Richard Nash.

“[Cry Macho] is about a man who has been through some hard times in his life and then unexpectedly another challenge is brought to the foreground,” Eastwood previously told Entertainment Weekly. “He would normally never do it, but he is a man of his word. He follows through. And it starts his life over again.” This is the first film he has directed since Richard Jewell in 2019, which he did not star in. Eastwood was attached to star in Cry Macho as early as 1988 but instead opted to reprise his role as Dirty Harry in The Dead Pool.
