"The Umbrella Academy" Added Some Brand New Characters Who Are Shaking Things Up

Welcome to The Umbrella Academy, where the Hargreeves kids lived and grew up to be the heroes they are today. If you haven't had the chance to check out the latest season of the hit Netflix series, you're missing out on all the incredible ways the cast and crew bring Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá's comic book series to life.

Here is everything you need to know about the cast of The Umbrella Academy...

Tom Hopper as Number One / Luther / Spaceboy

Luther is the leader of the group whose power is super strength. He was the last one to stay within The Umbrella Academy after everyone had left to pursue other projects. He was sent to the moon on a mission by his father and recently returned after four years.

Tom Hopper is a British actor who is most known for his starring role in Black Sails as William "Bones" Manderly. He also appeared alongside Amy Schumer in I Feel Pretty and appeared in several episodes of Game of Thrones as Dickon Tarly.

David Castañeda as Number Two / Diego / The Kraken

The second rank of the group who is a lot more irrational than his siblings, Diego's power is being able to manipulate almost any weapon he uses to get near perfect accuracy. He works as a vigilante at night to continue his superhero days, despite the fact that the team had disbanded years before. Diego often finds himself at odds with the police because of this, although it has also allowed him to establish some connections within the force.

David Casteñeda is a Mexican actor who has been on shows like Jane the Virgin as Nicholas and Switched at Birth as Jorge. He also appeared in Sicario: Day of the Soldado and The Ascent.

Emmy Raver-Lampman as Number Three / Allison / The Rumor

Thanks to her ability to get/do whatever she wants by just saying the phrase, "I've heard a rumor...," Allison became a famous celebrity with a number of huge roles under her belt. She hasn't seen her family in a while after starting her career and getting married in Los Angeles.

Emmy Raver-Lampan might be new to television, but she is well known in the broadway world for her many roles, including as understudies for Angelica, Eliza, Peggy and Maria in Hamilton. She was also part of the ensemble for Hamilton, A Night with Janis Joplin, Jekyll & Hyde, and Hair.

Robert Sheehan as Number Four / Klaus / The Séance

Klaus is a drug addict who is always looking for a new way to get his next high, mostly due to his ability to talk to the dead, which he can only do if he is sober. Due to his past, his siblings look at him more as a liability. He has a strong his connection to his brother, Ben, even after his death.

Robert Sheehan is an Irish actor who became a breakout start thanks to his role as Nathan Young in Misfits. He also starred in the first four seasons of Love/Hate and appeared as Carlos Casagemas in Genius: Picasso.

Aidan Gallagher as Number Five / The Boy

Using his power of time and space travel, Five suddenly reappears after being stuck in a post-apocalyptic world for decades. While he has grown since then, his body is reverted back to his 15-year-old self. He comes back in hopes of stopping the apocalypse and is on the run from The Commission, a time-traveling group of assassins that are set to keep the timeline in check no matter what.

Aidan Gallagher previously starred in the Nickelodeon show, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, as the youngest quadruplet Nicky. This is his first role since the show first ended in 2018.

Justin H. Min as Number Six / Ben / The Horror

Ben is revealed to be dead after a tragic accident when he was younger that has yet to be revealed. He is able to unleash monsters from his body, usually an 8-legged squid-like creature. Ben has a strong connection with Klaus and often appears to him as a spirit who he talks to.

The Umbrella Academy is his biggest role yet, although he has appeared in shows like Faking It, CSI: Cyber, and Pure Genius.

Ellen Page as Number Seven / Vanya / The White Violin

Vanya is the estranged sister of the group, after she grew up thinking she had no powers. However, it is later revealed that she is actually the strongest of her siblings and her powers were suppressed after Sir Hargreeves believed it would be too dangerous to let her wield them. She is able to manipulate sound waves and use them as powerful weapons.

Ellen Page became a household name after her roles in X-Men: The Last Stand and Juno. Since then, she has starred in Whip It and Inception. She also created and starred in her own documentary series called Gaycation, showing LGBT life across the world in different countries.

Kate Walsh as The Handler

The head of The Commission, she is set on doing anything possible to make sure the timeline does not change, even if it means allowing the apocalypse to happen. She used to be Five's boss and tries to bring him back to work for her again at all costs.

Kate Walsh is most known for her role in Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Addison Montgomery. She also got her own spin-off, Private Practice. She also starred as Olivia Baker in 13 Reasons Why.

Ritu Arya as Lila Pitts

While in a mental institution, Diego meets Lila and the two soon become friends. As he is escaping, she helps him and also leaves as well. She starts to join him on his mission to stop the assassination for President John F. Kennedy, but it soon becomes clear that she has her own motives.

Ritu previously appeared in Humans and Feel Good. She is set to start in Red Notice with Gal Godot, Dwayne Johnson, and Ryan Reynolds.

Yusuf Gatewood as Raymond Chestnut

Raymond is Allison's husband in the 1960s and a prominent civil rights activist in Dallas, Texas. He is the one that convinces her to join the movement and to start using her voice after it was damaged at the end of season one. Despite being the closest person to Allison in the 60s, he doesn't know the truth about her.

The Originals fans will certainly recognize Yusuf thanks to his role as Vincent in the series. He also appeared as Famine in the Amazon Prime show Good Omens.

Marin Ireland as Sissy Cooper

Sissy is the woman that hits Vanya with her car when she first arrives in Dallas. She hires Vanya as a nanny for her young son, Harlan. Despite trying to be a supportive wife, she is unhappy in her marriage.

Marin previously starred in Amazon Prime's Sneaky Pete and is set to star in Y: The Last Man.

Colm Feore as Sir Reginald Hargreeves

Sir Reginald Hargreeves is the adoptive father of The Umbrella Academy. He trained them since they were young to defeat all kinds of powerful enemies as a superhero team. His mysterious death brings them all back together.

Colm Feore has appeared in The Borgias, House of Cards, and Revolution. He was in Thor, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Greta.

Jordan Claire Robbins as Grace Hargreeves

Grace is The Umbrella Academy's robot mother who was built after Vanya attacked all of their previous nannies with her powers. She has a close connection with the kids, despite being a robot and cares for them in any way that she can.

The Umbrella Academy is her first big role. Before that, Jordan had appeared in guest starring roles in Supernatural, iZombie, and 12 Monkeys.

Adam Godley as Pogo

Pogo is a talking chimpanzee who is also Sir Hargreeves' closest confidant. Despite his close connection with The Umbrella Academy kids, he often hides secrets from them if Sir Hargreeves' asks him to do so.

Adam Godley is a well-known English actor who has appeared in Love Actually, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and The Theory of Everything. He also was in Dollhouse, Breaking Bad, and Powers. Godley has also had a number of roles in theater and was nominated for a Tony for his performance in Anything Goes.

Cameron Britton as Hazel

Cha-Cha's partner in The Commission, Hazel is tired of his work and killing people. He tries to find a way out The Commission with the hopes of tracking down Five before it’s too late.

Cameron starred in Stitchers as Tim and also appeared in Mindhunter as Ed Kemper. He also had small roles in Day Out of Days and The Girl in the Spider's Web.

Mary J. Blige as Cha-Cha

An assassin who works for The Commission, she enjoys her work and tries to stick to the rules as much as possible. She is assigned to kill Five after he reappears in 2019 with her partner Hazel.

Mary J. Blige is a well-known singer and actress. She has a number of award-winning albums and has won 10 Grammys. She's been acting for several years now and was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Mudbound.

John Magaro as Leonard Peabody / Harold Jenkins

Leonard is Vanya's new violin student who takes a romantic interest with her right after his first lesson. It's later revealed that he was born on the same day as the rest of The Umbrella Academy, but out of a normal pregnancy. He wanted to join the team when he was younger and was publicly rejected by Sir Hargreeves. Harold created a new identity in order to get close to Vanya and expose her true power.

John Magaro has had a number of roles in Orange is the New Black, The Good Wife, and Angie Tribeca. He also appeared in Unbroken, Carol, and War Machine.
