Medea’s Latest (and Littlest) Must-Have Bag Is Made For Your Lipstick

“I’m obsessed with tiny bags, always have been,” says the London-based artist Harry Freegard (a.k.a. Harrie Bradshaw). Fitting then that Camilla and Giulia Venturini, the irreverent Italian twins behind Medea, whose itty-bitty shopper tote has graced the wrists of Rihanna and Kaia Gerber, should choose to tap Freegard for the campaign around their smallest shape yet: a magnetic lipstick case, launching online today, that’s crafted from smooth leather and available in 11 eye candy colors.

“It’s like a little gem that you want to show off,” Freegard explains of the mini accessory, which takes center stage in a series of six “Medea-sponsored” shorts (all shot by Luke Clayton Thompson) that riff off of iconic films: In one, Freegard, channeling Holly Golightly, pulls a tube of MAC’s pale pink Daddy’s Girl out from a metallic holder as he peers into the Tiffany’s window on London’s Bond Street; in another Psycho-inspired shower scene, the self-described “It girl” smears lipstick across his mouth mid-scream, while clutching a blood-red version. “Fine leather goods and humor, my two favorite things,” Freegard quips.

For their part, the Venturini duo are known to dangle the tiny treasure, which comes with a detachable metal chain, from a larger Medea style or even a belt loop: “We mostly hang them from our jeans,” says Giulia, who often fills her preferred black case with just a clear lip balm. ”Especially at night, it looks so elegant.” In other words, what it may lack in size, it makes up for in impact.
