FOND DU LAC – The art of tattoos spans thousands of years and countless global cultures — and we want to hear the stories behind your tattoos.

According to career website zippia.com's analysis of Google Trends, Wisconsin's most popular tattoo choice is a fox, but whether it's an animal, flower, quote or character, those with tattoos often get asked if there's a meaning behind them.

To celebrate National Tattoo Day on July 17, I'm compiling local tattoo stories, big or small, for a future article.
