It's official! Meet His Royal Highness Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge. After four-day wait, Prince William and Kate Middleton announced their third child's three beautiful names, the same number as brother Prince George Alexander Louis and sister Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge didn't just pick the monikers out of a baby book, however. Royal names often honor important monarchs, princes, and dukes that came before them, and this selection kept up with tradition. The delay did too; the couple also waited to announce their first two children's names several days after their births.
