McDonald's Put a Spicy Ranch Twist on the McCrispy Sandwich for a Limited Time

McDonald’s has a fun new chicken sandwich on the menu.

The fast food chain is introducing the Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy for a limited time. The fried chicken sandwich is made with a “bold, creamy and spicy Cajun ranch sauce” along with crispy smoked bacon and crinkle pickle chips on a toasted potato roll.

While classic McCrispies are on the menu all year round, this special item is only available for a limited run starting Monday, April 22, until supplies last.

Fans of the golden arches can jazz up their sandwich by making it a Deluxe and adding Roma tomatoes and shredded lettuce for even more crunch.

Earlier this year, McDonald’s brought back another exciting sandwich — the Double Big Mac.

The limited edition sandwich was made of four beef patties, Big Mac sauce, pickles, shredded lettuce, chopped onions and a slice of American cheese between a sesame seed bun.

In February, McDonald’s brought its manga counterpart to life with its new "WcDonald's" campaign. The makeover brought anime fans in over 30 global markets manga-inspired packaging, four episodic shorts and a new sauce.

The condiment, called the Savory Chili WcDonald's Sauce, featured a "combination of ginger, garlic, and soy with a slight heat from chili flakes." The fast food chain said it's a dip that mirrors the "bold, dynamic spirit" of classic anime heroes.

As for the reason behind the campaign, Tariq Hassan, chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald's USA, said that it is a result of anime becoming a "huge part of today's culture."
