For most people, they'd likely be shocked to discover an extra set of fries with their McDonald's order, so imagine one man's surprise when he opened up his bag of food and found $5,000 in cash.

Josiah Vargas, the McDonald's customer-turned-good samaritan, documented the entire incident, from discovering the cash to returning it, in a TikTok video that has received well over 2 million views.

"I just went to McDonald's and [they] handed me my Sausage Egg McMuffin and this bag," said Vargas as he sat in his car. "But what's in the bag? Their f**king deposit. Why? Just a couple thousand dollars here...So now I have to return this because I'm a good person, I guess. How interesting."

Vargas slyly recorded himself as he walked into the fast food restaurant to return the money. He jokingly asked employees, "Are you guys laundering money out of here?" while handing over the bag of cash. He was immediately praised by workers at the McDonald's. One worker referred to him as "a blessing from God" while another worker expressed that she really wanted to give him a hug.

"I cut that short, but they were all just hugging me and thanking me and crying. And I get free McDonald's for a month, I guess," said Vargas before letting viewers know that he was also given $200 in cash.

If Vargas' debacle sounds a bit familiar, it's likely because a similar incident happened to a woman in Georgia just last year. The woman discovered $500 in cash, which she swiftly returned, in her KFC order.
