McDonald's Iconic Halloween Pails Are Officially Coming Back This Year
It turns out that social media was right all along when it came to one particular Halloween rumor. After much chatter online, McDonald's has just confirmed that they'll be bringing back their iconic Halloween Happy Meal. Fulfilling our childhood nostalgia, the spooky meal will include a Halloween pail that features one of three familiar characters: OG McBoo, McPunk’n, or McGoblin.
Fans have been waiting years for the return of the Halloween Happy Meal. Just how soon can you get your hands on one of the ghoulish pails? The Halloween Happy Meal will be available beginning October 18 at participating McDonald's across the country.
First introduced in 1986, the Halloween Happy Meal has returned on occasion, most recently in 2016. Unlike this year's trio of pails, the ones in 2016 were It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown-themed.
In a recent Instagram post from McDonald's announcing their return, many users expressed their excitement at the news. "It’s feeling like the 90’s again!!!!!," wrote one follower.
This news comes shortly after the chain launched an adult Happy Meal with streetwear brand Cactus Plant Flea Market. The Happy Meal, which has become a pretty hot commodity, includes either a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNugget, fries, a drink, and a collectible toy.
