McDonalds is giving away free fries for the rest of the year — here’s how to get them

McDonald’s is giving away free medium orders of fries every Friday for the rest of 2023.

To take part in the fast-food chain’s “Free Fries Friday” celebration, customers must join the McDonald’s rewards program — the deal is redeemable through the app.

The deal is “valid 1x each Friday thru 12/31/23,” according to the McDonald’s app. Customers will receive a free order of fries when they make a purchase of at least $1. There are 10 Fridays left this year to snag the deal.

The following dates the offer will be valid include:

  • Oct. 27.

  • Nov. 3.

  • Nov. 10.

  • Nov. 17.

  • Nov. 24.

  • Dec. 1.

  • Dec. 8.

  • Dec. 15.

  • Dec. 22.

  • Dec. 29.

A few weeks ago, McDonald’s announced it would bring back the popular McRib — for a limited time only — nearly a year after the menu item’s “farewell tour” in 2022, per USA Today.

“Some lucky fans may find their favorite elusive saucy sandwich at their local McDonald’s restaurants this November,” the company said, per USA Today.

The barbecue pork sandwich first landed on McDonald’s menus in 1981 and retired in 1985, per The Washington Post. It has made several comebacks on “farewell tours” in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2022. The fast food chain has been coy regarding details for the upcoming McRib “farewell tour” — so sit still and wait for November.
