Hangry (i.e. the adjective for hunger-induced anger) is a real human emotion—one that I experience often. But never in my life has it caused me to respond with...gun violence. A certain Garden City, Georgia, resident can't necessarily say the same; she shot off a round at McDonald's over cold french fries.

According to WTOC-TV, the drama reportedly unfolded Monday afternoon after the woman ordered, left, and returned with her complaint. While flashing a real loaded gun (!!!), she demanded a new order, but then followed the McDonald's employee willing to comply into the kitchen and started shooting at the ground.

The restaurant owner reports that the manager forked over fresh, hot fries and provided a full refund.

The culprit, who has been identified by Garden City Police Department Detective Roberto Rodriguez to USA TODAY, is 27-year-old Lillian Shantel Tarver. Though she bolted from the McDonald's parking lot "at a high rate of speed" and then refused to pull over, she finally surrendered after a "10-to-15 minute" chase.

She was booked at the Chatham County Jail without bond, Rodriguez continued. She's facing multiple charges per the County Sheriff's office, including reckless driving, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and more. Delish has reached out to McDonald's for comment on the incident.

You know the saying "you catch more bees with honey than vinegar?" Well, I'm making up a new one: You get fresher McDonald's fries with kindness than aggravated assault. Doesn't have quite the same ring, but you get it.
