McDonald’s Chicken McGriddles And McChicken Biscuits Are Available For Breakfast Right Now

After many months of waiting out the chicken sandwich wars, McDonald's quietly announced that two chicken sandwiches would be available for breakfast nationwide: the McChicken Biscuit and Chicken McGriddle.
McDonald's listed both menu items in an announcement at the top of its website. It describes the McChicken Biscuit as "a crispy chicken fillet on a warm buttermilk biscuit that’s baked to perfection and brushed with real butter." It goes on to describe the Chicken McGriddle as "soft, warm griddle cakes with the sweet taste of maple, holding a crispy chicken fillet."
The bad news? They're only available for a limited time, so I'd suggest you hop on this news quickly...like, tomorrow for breakfast quickly. Or tonight for dinner! You can find a participating location here. Dibs on the McGriddle.

You've heard about the chicken sandwich wars, but maybe you haven't heard the hype around the fast food breakfast wars. Pretty much, a bunch of fast food places are releasing new breakfast items around the same time, and McDonald's is the latest to throw their hat into the ring with the McChicken McMuffin and Chicken McGriddle.
Business Insider obtained leak documents that said the the two new breakfast sandwiches will be hitting menus nationwide in late January 2020. That's next month (!!!) if you're as lost in the space time continuum as I am at the moment. The leaked documents also said that in select locations, there will be spicy versions of the two chicken sandwiches.
A McDonald's spoke person told the outlet, "What came first, the chicken or the egg? Set your alarm for more reasons to visit McDonald's for breakfast in 2020," so there aren't any super concrete details about the release yet. Rest assured, more chicken sandwiches are coming, but this time they're for the most important meal of the day.

Mickey D’s is stepping up their breakfast game. After all, it’s the most important meal of the day. The chain is rolling out the McChicken McMuffin and the Chicken McGriddle in select locations.
Now, you may be wondering: What is a McChicken McMuffin? What is a Chicken McGriddle? Will I actually want one for breakfast? How will it complement my McCafé?
Here’s what we know: A McChicken McMuffin highlights the classic McChicken patty sandwiched between a biscuit and is topped off with mayonnaise and lettuce. But the Chicken McGriddle takes the famous patty and surrounds it with two maple flavored McGriddle buns. Interesting, right?
Turns out, McDonald’s has been whipping up chicken in the AM for years, most notably in the southeast part of the country. A representative from the company told Business Insider, “While the options have been mostly available locally, franchises have recently expanded these options in new markets as a limited time offer.” The spokesperson added, “We use information from our local markets to gauge the potential of expanding options beyond local, regional and limited time offerings.”
The breakfast items have been popping up all over the US in recent weeks, most notably in Southern California. However, the price seems to range. Some customers report they’ve been able to get their hands on the delicacy as part of a two-for-$3 deal, but others have scooped up the meal for as low as $1.
While the McChicken McMuffin and Chicken McGriddle are not officially a part of McDonald’s all-day breakfast menu, the ingredients are pretty basic. So ask the chef, because it shouldn’t be too difficult to get your hands on these protein-filled breakfast items.
