Some of McDonald’s international fans are jealous that the rollout of its latest menu addition appears to be limited to restaurants in the U.S.

The new item will offer a twist on the Bacon Ranch McCrispy, a sandwich that McDonald’s first unveiled last spring. The updated sandwich will be available for a limited time in stores across the U.S. starting on Wed., April 17, according to food blogger Snackolator, though it’ll be available for purchase at some locations a few days early. It wasn’t immediately clear if McDonald’s had plans to add the Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy to menus outside the U.S.

So what is the new menu addition in question? McDonald’s is calling it the Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy, a 630-calorie sandwich that the fast food chain describes on its website as featuring a potato roll “stacked with a southern-style fried chicken fillet and bold, applewood smoked bacon." The sandwich also includes crinkle-cut pickles and two layers of a “creamy” Cajun ranch sauce.

“This is the next-level chicken sandwich you didn’t know about...until now,” the menu listing says. A deluxe version of the sandwich, which includes shredded lettuce and Roma tomatoes, will also be available for a limited time.

“Now this is epic wish we could get it in Aus,” one Australian fan commented on Snackolator’s Instagram preview of the new sandwich.

Another person suggested sadly on Reddit that they likely won't have an opportunity to try it out, writing, “Another one we probably won't get in the UK.”

Meanwhile, several McDonald’s fans in the U.S. appeared excited to test the new meal, with one writing that it “might be the best looking McDonalds item in a while for me.”

“Runningggg to mcd,” another fan said while one Instagram user wrote that they “Can’t wait to try” it.

However, not all McDonald’s customers were excited by the new menu addition. Some expressed concern online about how much the sandwich would cost, while others weren’t convinced the taste would be worth it.

“I love Cajun but hate ranch,” one Instagram user said while another fan disagreed with their conclusion about the spread, writing, “If nothing else, I appreciate acknowledging more sauce is needed.”
